Theme: Chinese traditions
Worship leader: Xiaorong
Anyway, today was the first time that I'm leading worship in a very long time. I think it's been about a year or less but it's been a really long time.
Ever since going into TRACkers, I've been experiencing a spiritual high and I guess I feel alot more in tune with God now and am more in touch with Him. I guess today during the worship it felt great to lead to youths in a time of meaningful worship again. There was a sense of peace and happiness in being able to lead the youths. I guess it's meaningful to me that I'm able to lead the youths in a meaningful time of worship. I'm not sure whether I'm the only one but I felt that it was quite a meaningful time today (:
I guess today the theme was on chinese traditions and it's been a theme that has been bugging me since last year. Like many times I'm told that certain things that is tradition is like against the Christian faith but I guess sometimes it's just the way we look at things yeah? Like the passover meal and the pasting of the red paper on the door post thing. It was really a revelation to realise that both christianity and our chinese traditions have certain things in common. I mean, although it is only one thing, it is still something (:
I actually think that this whole thing on chinese traditions may baffle some of the youths. Like they are unsure of whether or not adhering to certain traditions is against the christian faith and I think today's session on chinese tradition is indeed really very meaningful (:
I guess that's all I have to say (:
