Theme: Bible Study Skills
Worship leader: Ben.
This is my first worship of this year, and it coincides with the release of the o level results over the past week.
Been hearing both good news and not so good news, and it brought back bittersweet memories of my own O level results collection where I did much worse than expected, and all my friends did better than me. As a result, all my friends went to Science stream while I went to Arts. I remember being bitter, and questioned God about it, but looking back, I realise that He was bringing through a different journey, and He really knew what was best for me.
The theme for this week's worship was: In good times, praise God. In bad times, praise God. For those who did well and are happy, rejoice in the Lord and give glory to Him. For those who are disappointed, continue to question God and seek His will for your future. I am sure that He has plans to prosper and bless you.
Grades are the benchmark which the WORLD places on us, to judge our success. But speaking from personal experience, no one cares whether you come from JC/poly in the uni (or anywhere else for that matter), its really how you relate to people, how you carry yourself, how you fulfil your responsibilities and keep your promises. So dont be discouraged, your still special and have great gifts that God has given you.
Ultimately lets remember not to slacken, but to press on, because we are not working for men but for God. The place He eventually leads us to will be a place where we can make a difference in the lives of the people around us.
