Free Tickets

sorry, too excited,

HILLSONG ON 24th May.

edit:

Hi guys,

One pt on this, is that i dont know why we have to pay to enter? Is it a performance? I guess if it was to cover the cost of the auditorium and bringing the band down, shouldnt it be done via offering. Dont understand. Paying up front for tix makes it look like a concert performance kinda thing.

Not that i am discouraging you guys to go but yea thats my view on it - I dont need to pay to worship.

Ok that aside,
I am able to help you guys get free tix to go, so reply me asap :) Like by sunday..

Like jes said, they charge the tickets to cover the costs of the auditorium as well as to bring Hillsong in. From my understanding(we invited hillsong to our conference as well 2 years ago), it is the hosting church who decides the price of the tickets. Obviously, it will costs money to fly down a crew of 15+ along with their equipment and also to hosts them.

Maybe you should look at it as more of an offering then. Just for a bit of trivia, a couple of years ago, there was an 'experiment' conducted where a company offered new electrical equipment, such as Speakers etc, for any price the customer named, where the proceeds would totally be donated to charity. In the end, it turned out most Singaporeans paid the bare minimum and some even chose to take it FOC. So in reality, i think $5 a ticket(thats the price i hear) is quite reasonable?! It covers the costs of bringing the team down and renting the venue. Maybe tmc shld do something like that for their fundraising?!
